When the registry editor will open to you then you have to find the folder and give a click on it to execute “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ Policies\ Explorer”.

 

After that, you have to check on right and if you see that “NoControlPanel” file then you need to give a right click on the empty part. Then, you have to click on DWORD(32-bit) option and give a value name as “NoControlPanel”. After that, “NoControlPanel” file will open to you and you have to give a double click on it and you need to set the value data to “0” to “enable the Settings/ Control Panel” and set “1” to deactivate them. Then, select OK to exit and press the Windows key and I key at the same time.

 

Way 02: Update to Fix Settings App

You can solve the issue by using this alternative way. You have to check any updates are pending or not. If you find any update is pending, then you should install it. Basically, this process is done by using two different methods. These are the Command Prompt method and the Control Panel method.

Using Command Prompt

In this way, you have to open the elevated Command Prompt first and then, you should type ”wuauclt.exe /updatenow ” and click the enter key for continuing.

Using the Control Panel

So, this is the second way that you can try. At first, you have to open the Control panel and find “updates” option in the top-right corner of the Control Panel. After searching, you need to click on “view installed updates” and start installing if you find any updates are pending there.

Way 03: Use Windows Troubleshooter

Basically, the Windows troubleshooter is the better option for you and the basic operation of troubleshooter is simple. Firstly, you need to go to the control panel and search the “troubleshooting” option there. After searching, give a click on the “troubleshooting” option to run the operation. Way 04: Solve it using “SFC/Scannow”

Basically, most of the problems related to Windows is solved by using the Command prompt. Similarly, we can also solve this problem through the Command prompt very easily and systematically. In this method, you need to open the “command prompt” first by pressing and searching Windows key and R key at the same time and cmd respectively. Here, one thing should keep in your mind that you need to open the command prompt as Administrator mode. Way 05: Install the Windows app again

Reinstalling the Windows app is another great method to recover the problem. At first, you need to open the “command prompt” as a mode of Administrator by giving a right-click on the start option. When the command prompt will open to you then you need to copy and paste a command that is “Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)AppXManifest.xml”}”. After that, you have to press enter for starting the installation and then start your computer again. If you are still the problems then, you should follow the next process.

Way 06: Launch the Settings using keyboard

When you are unable to access the PC settings on your system after trying to click the icon then you have to use the Windows key and the I button at the same time. After doing this, it will open to you.

Way 07: Add new account (Admin)

This is another way that you can use to open the PC settings. In this step, you need to click the “Start” and type there “lusrmgr.msc”. After that, the Microsoft common console will open to you and then you should choose “users” and give a right-click on it. Then, select the “add new user” to finish.

Way 08: Reset your Windows

 

Till now, if you do not get any proper solution then resetting of the Windows 10 is the best option. In this step, you have to click the menu icon from the bottom left of your computer and select the “settings” option. After that, give a click on “update&security” and then you have to click the “recovery” option in the left side of the window. In the right side, you see “reset this PC”. Here, you need to give a click on “Get started” option to continue. After doing all these things, a popup Window will open to you. Here you can see the three options are “keep my files”, “remove everything” and “restore factory settings”. Among them you have to select only “Restore factory settings” and give a click on “Only the drive where Windows is installed”.
