  2. Then, in the  Run box type the command ‘dcomcnfg’ and press Enter key to open Component Services.
  3. Now, in Component Services, select Computer and then, select My Computer.
  4. Next, click twice on DCOM Config and select ‘Yes’ when prompted.
  5. At last, restart your computer.

Re-registering ExplorerFrame.dll file

To re-register ExplorerFrame. dll follow the steps:

  1. Press, Windows key and letter X, from the keyboard and then, select Command Prompt(Admin), from the list of options.
  2. Then, select ‘Yes’ when prompted.
  3. Now, in the Command Prompt, type the command ‘regsvr32 ExplorerFrame.dll’ and press Enter key from the keyboard, to re-register the ExplorerFrame.dll file.
  4. After that, open the application to check whether the issue is resolved.

Starting Internet Explorer ETW Collector Service

Follow the steps to start the Internet Explorer ETW collector service:

 

  1. Press Windows key and then, in the search panel type Run.
  2. Then, choose the option ‘Run’.
  3. Now, in the Command Prompt, type the command ‘services.msc’ and select OK to open Windows Services.
  4. Next, locate Internet Explorer ETW Collector Service and right-click on it and then, select Start to begin the service.

Setting Windows Photo Viewer as a Default Image Viewer

To set the Windows Photo Viewer as a default image viewer, go through the steps:

  1. Press, Window key and the letter I, together from the keyboard to open Settings.
  2. After that, select System and then, from left column select Default Apps.
  3. Next, click on Reset, from right-column which is present right under ‘Reset to the Microsoft recommended defaults’.
  4. Now, the Windows Photo Viewer is set as default image viewer.

Disabling iCloud Service

In order to disable the iCloud service follow the steps:

  1. At first, press Shift, Ctrl ,and Esc key together, from the keyboard to open Task Manager.
  2. Then, in Task Manager choose the tab Startup and then, find the iCloud Services and right-click on it.
  3. Next, select Disable, to stop the service.

Running DISM

To run DISM on your computer follow the steps:

  1. Press, Windows key and the letter X together, from the keyboard and then, select the option Command Prompt(Admin).
  2. Next, select ‘Yes’ when prompted.
  3. After that type the commands ‘DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth’ and  ‘DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth,’ one by one and then, press Enter from the keyboard.
  4. Then, reboot your computer to resolve the issue.

Re-registering Windows Store Application

To re-register in Windows Store application follow the steps:

  1. Select the Windows symbol on the computer screen and type ‘PowerShell’.
  2. Now, right-click on Windows PowerShell and choose the option ‘Run as administrator’.
  3. After that, in the Command Prompt, type the command ‘Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}’ and press Enter key to re-register into the Windows store application.
  4. Finally, reboot your computer.

Re-registering Windows.dll Files

To re-register the Windows.dll files go through the steps:

  1. Press, Windows key and the letter x together, from the keyboard and then, select the option Command Prompt(Admin).
  2. Next, select ‘Yes’ when prompted.
  3. After that, in the Command Prompt, type the command ‘FOR /R C:\ %G IN (*.dll) DO “%systemroot%\system32\regsvr32.exe” /s “%G” regsvr32 ExplorerFrame.dll’ and press Enter key, to re-register the Windows.dll files.
  4. After that, restart your computer and finally check if the issue is resolved or not.

Removing Microsoft Edge from Default Browser List

Follow the steps to remove Microsoft from the default browser list:

  1. Select the Windows symbol and click on Settings.
  2. Now, in the Settings window, select Systems and then, select Default Apps from the left-column.
  3. Then, change the Microsoft Edge browser and select any other browser.
  4. At last, reboot your computer.

Creating a New User Account

In order to create a new account on your computer follow the steps:

  1. Press, Windows key and the letter I, from the keyboard to open Settings.
  2. Then, in Settings window, select Accounts and then, from left-column select the tab ‘Family & other people’.
  3. After that, from ‘Other people’, select ‘Add someone else to this PC’.
  4. Next, select ‘I don’t have this person’s sign-in information’, which appears at the bottom of the window.
  5. Now, from the bottom of the window, select ‘Add a user without a Microsoft account’.
  6. Then, provide the username and password, in order to create a new account on your computer and then, select Next.

Thus, the new account will get created on your computer.

Running SFC

To run SFC command follow the steps:

  1. Press, Windows key and letter X together, from the keyboard and select Command Prompt(Admin).
  2. After that, select ‘Yes’, when prompted.
  3. Then, in the Command Prompt, type the command ‘sfc /scannow’ and press Enter from keyboard.
  4. After running the command, restart your computer.
