Step 1

  • net stop wuauserv
  • net stop cryptSvc
  • net stop bits
  • net stop msiserver
  • ren C: WindowsSoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
  • ren C:WindowsSystem32catroot2 catroot2.old
  • net start wuauserv
  • net start cryptSvc
  • net start bits
  • net start msiserver
  • pause
  • Exit

Solution 5- Change the DNS

If none of the methods work for you, then here is another alternative for you. Sometimes, default DNS might create some trouble for you. In such cases, you have to change the DNS settings. In order to do so, have a look at the following steps.

Step 1

In the beginning, you should right-click on the network icon which is located on the bottom right corner. Then, select the Network and Sharing Centre option.
