Windows 10 Mail App Not Syncing

Many Windows 10 users have reported there is a syncing problem of the Windows 10 mail client and also they reported that the email account settings are not working. Way 1.1 “Update Your Windows Mail App”

It is the first step that we are going to discuss. Basically, if you are facing the syncing problem of the Windows 10 then, you need to update the Windows mail app from the store. Because updating the Mail app can easily fix the syncing issue.

So, at first, you have to open the Microsoft store through the taskbar and then you need to click the menu icon which is located on the top-right side of the window. Here, you should select the “downloads and updates” option to continue. In the Downloads and Updates box, you have to select the “Mail and Calendar” and click on it for downloading. After the completion of the downloading, you need to click the “Get” button for installation. After doing all these things, you need to close the store and start rebooting the computer. Then, start the system again and the problem will be solved.

Way 1.2 “Change the Sync Frequency of Email of the Windows Mail App”

If you are still getting the syncing problem, then you need to follow this method. This step is based on the modification of syncing settings which is associated with your email account.

In this method, you have to open Windows mail app by using the Start menu and the Taskbar. After that, you need to go to the Accounts on the left side of the Windows mail app and give a right-click on the email and select the Account settings. Now, in the Accounts settings page, you have to click on the “Change mailbox sync settings” and here, you need to choose the “Download new mail” option and set the time “every 15 minutes”. Basically, you can set the time as per your requirement and also you can set to the “manually” option. After that, you have to scroll down to the “Sync” option and should enable it to continue. The process is almost done and after doing all these things, you have to start your computer again.

Way 1.3 “Reconfigure The Network Protection Settings & Firewall”

If you do not get any proper solution of this syncing issue then you need to follow this method. Reconfiguring or resetting the firewall and the network protection settings is the best way to fix the issue. Basically, the problem is simple. Here, you have press the Windows key and the R key at the same time and open the “run box” and in the “run box” section, you have to write “ms-settings:windowsdefender” and give a click on the enter button to continue. After that, the “Windows Security tab” will open to you and here, you need to select the “Windows Defender Security Center” option to open. In the “Windows Defender Security Center” you have to choose the “ Firewall & Network Protection” and in this tab, you should scroll down and give a click on the “Restore firewall to default”. After doing all these things, the computer starts rebooting and the Windows mail start syncing also.

Way 1.4 “Manage the Mail app access to Calendar”

If the previous methods fail then, you need to try this method. According to the users, the synchronization problem can be solved by allowing the Windows mail app access to the calendar. So, in this process, you have to press the Windows key and the R key at the same time and open the “run box” and here, you have to type “ms-settings:privacy-calendar” and give a press on the enter button for opening the calendar tab. Now, in the calendar menu page, you have to turn on the “mail and calendar” option. After that, you have to restart your computer to finish the process.

Way 1.5 “Remove The Store Cache of The Windows”

Basically, this process is done by using the troubleshooter for the Windows mail app. In this step, you have to press the Windows key and the R key at the same time and open the “run box” and in the “run box” section you have to type “wsreset.exe” and click the OK option. After doing all these things, the problem will be solved.

Way 1.6 “Turn on the TLS 1.0”

In this step, you have to go to the Start menu option and find the “internet” option. After that, you need to select the “search result titled Internet” option and go to the “Advanced”. Now, under the settings option, you have to scroll down the list and select the “Use TLS 1.0”. After that, you have to enable it and give a click on “apply” option. Now, you start your computer again and the synchronization problem is totally fixed or not. If the problem is not fixed then go to the next method.

Way 1.7 “Re-register The Stock Windows Apps of Your Computer”

This is the last method that we are going to discuss so, follow the instructions carefully. At first, you have to open the “Start menu” and find the “PowerShell”. Then, you need to give a double-click on the result named as “Windows PowerShell” and select on “Run as administrator”. When the Windows PowerShell will open to you then in this page need to type a command “Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}” and press the enter button. After the execution, you need to close the Windows PowerShell. Now, the process is almost done and you have to restart your computer and check the issue is solved or not.
