Once you will get to see the black screen on your system, you can remove the finger. You need to wait for a little while till the time the Command Prompt appears. You have to type there fsck-fy and then you need to press the return button. And wait for a little time. Now you will get to see two messages on your screen like, your Mac appears to be ok or the file system was modified.

If you get the first message, then you need to type reboot and then hit return. But if you see the next one, press up arrow and hit return. And that’s how you will start booting perfectly.

 

Disk Utility In Recovery Mode

 

If you find that there is a problem in booting of your Mac Operating System and the operating system is not loading up. In that case, you might have the corrupted drive. But if you want, you can fix that using the recovery mode.

You have to run the Disk utility first. In the recovery mode, you can run the disk utility easily. You need to have OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion or the upgraded one. Please assure that your Mac is not on turn on mode.

Press the command key plus R key. Then, you need to hold that down for a few seconds. And also, you need to power your Mac to back up again. By that time, you should keep pressing the Cmd + R button till the time it booted up.
